Hoi an

Hi All,
We are now in the historic town of Hoi an where we will stay for the duration of our time in Vietnam.
A really beautifull town and also great beaches. However the weather is not so great. Really hot but overcast for 5 days now. We are planning to go to this small island.
Lotus is ill for a few days now, but it is hard to get her to stay in bed and rest. Too exited. We are now staying in an appartment in the city center. Hopefully we can keep Chloe entertained.
She is getting a dress made and has to fit it today and is really excited.
Can't do too much but we are all a bit tired of moving around so we decided to stay put.
Thanks for all your comments, really appreciated.
We have decided to fly back to Hanoi as the price for a flight was the same as for the overnight train.
We are all looking forward to going to Holland now and seeing all the family!
I will add some photos soon.

Cheers,
Stephan

    Aloha!

Spend the last hour reading all your stories and enjoying your pics. What a trip! I'm amazed how well the girls are taking it all in and keep smiling despite the heat, food (we couldn't survive for a week - being Primal!), long walks, endless busdrives, etc. Must be totally different from your backpack days (travelling with kids I mean)! I would like to follow your footsteps with Kiri and Olle one day.
I totally feel for you Stephan to travel with 3 girls who like to go shopping or take the swan-boat on the lake. Haha! I wonder what you will do to entertain yourself. Seems too hot and wet for a bike trip. I don't know the guy from Delden, but thats perhaps because I have only been to Delden once.

Too bad you will miss out on the Orange Mania since the Leeuw lost its rank amongst the best of Europe... can't have it all.

Here we've enjoyed a Solstice Evening at Wantoo and a Matariki night at Harakeke - Kiri excited to play with all her friends, walk her lantern and go to bed real late. I feel like celebrating Christmas too since the nights are cold and dark. 15cm snow at rainbow. 15cm mud on our new driveway. Remko pruning for Kono, Olle still not walking. Will take the Macpac for a walk soon. Crispy sunny day. I love it!

All my love for you. We'll think of you when we share a coffee with your tenants on Sunday. Lovely people and they enjoy being here.

Enjoy your "homecoming" at Schiphol, reunion with family and friends and the best bits of Holland. Hope your summer will be better then the one we had over there.

xxx to all of you from the four of us,
    T-R-K-O
